Processing Rx Orders

The Prescriber’s Order Form is the most common means of communicating new orders. Ensure the demographic information at the top is accurate and up to date. Ensure medications are safely ordered and distributed to residents via a physician order processing process.

Initial all completed order processing pieces (e.g. pharmacy faxed, drug record, consent, care plan, x-ray, change implemented, etc.) Orders communicated by the home must be entered into the Drug Record to satisfy legislative requirements.

The order must be verified on [e]MAR by two nurses as soon as possible. Order processing can be done via 2 methods (Writi Care App or Writi Web App)
